The Sydney Swans are currently accepting applications from suitably enthusiastic individuals to join our team in the newly created roles of Graduate Accountant - Payables and Graduate Accountant - Receivables.

These roles play a key role in the Sydney Swans small and dynamic finance team to ensure the successful financial management of the Club. The finance team strives to be a valued partner to the business to identify potential improvements and efficiencies within the operations of the Club.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, these are full-time roles based in our Moore Park office at the Sydney Cricket Ground.


Graduate Accountant - Payables

  • Accounts payable processing across the Club
  • Maintenance of the Club’s fixed assets register
  • Tax and statutory compliance including preparation of monthly BAS returns
  • Processing of petty cash and expense reimbursements
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Match day reconciliations
  • Manage monthly credit card reporting process

Graduate Accountant - Receivables

  • Accounts receivable processing across the Club
  • Maintenance of the Clubs contra accounts
  • Daily banking reconciliation
  • Receipt and reconciliation of all membership receipts
  • Reconciliation of receipts through CRM system and accounting system
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support the CFO and Finance Manager by providing ad hoc support


  • University degree majoring in Finance and/or Accounting
  • Advanced skills across the Microsoft Office Suite particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to various situations
