University Blues is a community Australian football club operating out of the University of Melbourne and playing in the Victorian Amateur Football Association.

Reporting to the Football Manager, an opportunity exists to join one of the oldest Football Clubs and one of the leading clubs in the VAFA.

The Opportunity

We are currently looking for an assistant to the Football Manager to work in the Training and Game Day Logistics co-ordination role.

The successful applicant will be responsible for co-ordinating and delivering pre and post training and game day logistic support around facilities, equipment and transport.

This includes:

  • Opening Facility, Training Room and Medical Room
  • Preparing training equipment
    • Fill water bottles, inflate footballs etc.
  • Set up training and match-day
    • Equipment onto oval
    • Set up Timekeeper/Scoreboard
    • Set up interchange area
  • Directing new players and player enquiries to Football Manager
  • Transport equipment to and from alternate training/match venues
    • Warm-up equipment
    • Medical equipment
    • Spare Game day equipment
  • Packing training equipment
  • Advising Football Manager of need for additional equipment
  • Securing Facility post training

What we’re looking for

  • Excellent verbal communications and listening skills
  • Willingness to commit to high work ethic during training and match-day timeframes
  • Strong organisational skills and absolute attention to detail
  • Ability to build and engage with relevant football club stakeholders
  • Team player who is willing to work across a number of departments
