Description

A. Primary Purpose of the Role

  • Responsible for the delivery of high level coordination and administrative support to the High Performance and Pathways Manager and National Coaches, volunteers and athletes.
  • Coordination of administrative and logistical tasks within the Sport Operations Unit including project logistics for events, camps and tours.

B. Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver logistical support related to camps and tours including accommodation, transport, meals, communication, uniforms, paperwork, medical services, awards and management of historical information.
  • Clearly articulate the policies of TFA to athletes as they relate to their participation in the High-Performance Program.
  • Manage and maintain the TFA Athlete Management System.
  • Liaise with national team athletes (and parents) on administrative and financial matters.
  • Coordinate the design and distribution of national team uniforms.
  • Provide administration support, advice, policy development and decision-making support to the High Performance and Pathways Manager and Chief Operating Officer.
  • Manage project plans and reporting for the High-Performance unit.
  • Work in conjunction with the High Performance & Pathways Manager to monitor all income and expenditure ensuring compliance with TFA processes and procedures.
  • Work in conjunction with the High Performance & Pathways Manager to prepare budgets.
  • Develop and implement policies and processes relevant to the High-Performance program.
  • Provide availability where possible to attend all meetings as required by relevant Management.
  • Prepare annual and progress reports as they relate to the High-Performance Program.
  • Provide high-level customer service to participants, affiliates, volunteers and partners.

C. Key Relationships

  • Work closely with and under the direction of High Performance and Pathways Manager.
  • Work with relevant TFA personnel and relevant state staff.
  • Work with key volunteers within the High-Performance unit.

D. Key Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated initiative and self-management
  • Demonstrated success in program delivery and logistics.
  • Knowledge of best practice in High Performance systems and structures.
  • Sound knowledge, relationship or background in Touch Football.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy and competence in the use of technology and systems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills supported by high quality interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience working with volunteers in a non-profit environment.
  • Demonstrated skills in working to a budget and in line with operational plans.
  • Capacity to work outside of normal working hours and undertake travel as required.
  • Current driver’s license and personal vehicle.

E. Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in sport science, high performance, physical education, sport management or a related field is desired.
